29 inch inseam? - Polygon S 16in size is OK but just.
Most S bikes have a 28 inch standover, so theoretically, you should be riding XS, which tends to have standover about 27 inch (although all these vary).

The issue is that at 1.7m and with your 29in inseam, you probably have a long torso and arms, and XS will feel cramped above, so S is what you should go for, you may also want to to for a longer stem.

I am 1.6m and have a 29in inseam like you and ride a S Polygon. But actually, I should be riding XS, but Polygon don't do XS.....

Hi may I know which bike you are riding, is it any of the two polygon choices i have in the list? if yes, how's it?

Brother,

Passion and committement is actually depending if you want to make an effort to do it...

If you have a bunch of kakis who is into cycling, chances are you won't fall out unless you dun have any time...

As for me, I just join rides and know more friends and bro...so far loving it..

Try out different terrain and rides to determine what do you know and I have found mine.. Twisted Evil

If you stay near Punggol, just give me a shout for rides..

I started my budget below 1k and ended up buying higher cos I know in the long run if I keep upgrading, it will be more...

Brother, just get a secondhand bike to test water...

Good luck in your search... Wink

CX1.0, whihc has a frame very similar in geometry to the Xtrada. For the price, I have no complaints. Frame may not be the best, but the parts are good - great value for the price.
